From Social Media to School: How Jewish Young People Navigate the Complexity of Israel

This issue of the CASJE Research Digest reviews two qualitative studies that explore how Jewish adolescents and college students navigate identity, belonging, and dialogue on campus after October 7. Together, the studies offer rich insights into the challenges and skills required to engage thoughtfully with complexity and disagreement. Drawing on in-depth interviews with Jewish adolescents and college students, non-Jewish peers, and educators, they illuminate how young Jewish people develop their understanding of difficult issues, negotiate competing narratives, and seek meaningful opportunities for dialogue.
