Problem Formulation Convening on Jewish Early Childhood Educational Leadership

Sun, 7 June, 2015 12:00am

The CASJE Jewish Early Childhood Educational Leadership Problem Formulation Convening will be a day-long conversation exploring opportunities for research in the field of Jewish early childhood educational leadership. It will involve a wide range of partners including front-line practitioner-leaders in Jewish early childhood education, researchers interested in studying Jewish experiences and learning in early childhood contexts, and foundations that support the field. Our goal is to identify important issues and questions that can serve as the basis for a program of applied research for the field of Jewish early childhood educational leadership. In particular, we are interested in exploring the role that educational leaders play in such areas as: the quality of teaching and learning in schools and programs; Jewish academic outcomes; social/emotional/spiritual outcomes; and the development of positive Jewish identity and commitments.
