Data Making a Difference

Research Partnerships Powering Insight and Action
Monday, November 17, 2025 7:00 am - 8:30 am

On Monday, November 17, 2025 CASJE hosted “Data Making a Difference: Research Partnerships Powering Insight and Action,” a panel discussion at the Jewish Federation of North America General Assembly.  The panel was moderated by Wendy Platt Newberger and featured: Dr. David Bryfman (The Jewish Education Project), Dr. Sarah Abramson (OneTable), Gali Cooks (Leading Edge) and Dr. Arielle Levites (CASJE). Attended by 75 people, the program shone a spotlight on how applied research can drive effective communal strategy and strengthen impact across the field. CASJE is grateful to be advancing the work of transforming the Jewish communal landscape through data-informed decision making. Key themes of the program included:

  • Democratization of strong data practices – accessing evidence needs to be accessible to all organizations regardless of size or budget
  • Benefits of collaboration - sharing of insights and learning from each other’s models
  • Value of mentorship and the opportunity for experienced organizations to guide others in building sustainable data and research infrastructure

CASJE is excited about imagining and supporting the next generation of data-driven, partnership-based initiatives.
